Presented is what is easily the nicest 1963 Topps Football set we have ever handled, a blazing mostly Near-Mint to Mint monster that belies all the typical hand-wringing about full-bleed color borders and the pesky chipping that suggests. As you might expect, the presentation is little short of breathtaking, with a uniform and consistent look boasting vivid colors and exceptional gloss, matched with ultra clean card backs and an almost epic pedigree in terms of condition. The set comes out to 59 percent deemed as Near-Mint to Mint, with corroboration from almost four dozen PSA 8 holders, including some of the biggest stars of the era. Mix in a similar number of Near-Mint specimens (eight in PSA 7 slabs, including Jim Brown and the difficult Ray Nitschke Rookie) and you end up with 95 percent of the set in Near-Mint or better condition.
