From the pioneering issue that changed the face of modern baseball cards comes this trifecta of factory sets, the legendary 1989 Upper Deck Baseball set that parlayed innovative design technology and individual-packs configuration with a nifty hologram on each card and a first-ever Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie card that proved to be record breaking. Just as they must have looked 32 years ago, the enclosed cards appear to be in solid bricks, seemingly Near-Mint to Mint or better blazers. The three cards carefully nudged out of the bricks – No. 1 Griffeys all – conform nicely, with only the most barely visible ding on the corner of one card prompting the rare Near-Mint designation. If you were out of town way back when or simply not collecting baseball cards at the time, here’s your chance to travel back in time for a do-over.
