Presented is a really nice partial set of the popular 1969 Topps Baseball set, an array that features almost four dozen Hall of Famers, including multiples of many of the key cards in the issue, plus a host of stars and Specials and more than a dozen cards from the All-Star subsets. There is some light duplication in a group that is broadly Excellent to Near-Mint, with some above and below the range, and an emphasis clearly to the upper end of the spectrum. The overall nice condition of the group is neatly complemented by uncommonly clean and crisp card backs, with the fabled salmon color put to good effect. All cards listed are the player’s regular-issue version unless otherwise noted. The breakdown of keys: Aaron (2) – Ex-Mt and Good, Mays (2) – Very Good and VG-Ex, Bench – VG-Ex, Seaver (2) – Excellent and VG, Rose – VG-Ex, Drysdale (2), Banks (2), Frank Robinson (2), Gibson (3), Brock (2), Morgan, Torre, Carlton, Marichal, McCovey (2), Perry, Carew, Killebrew, Aparicio, Billy Williams (2), Banks (2), Perez, Alston, Kaline, Dick Williams, Durocher, Cepeda, Powell, Reggie Smith, Mayo Smith, Cash, Monday, Clarke (2), Pinson, Frank Howard, and Fregosi, plus 20 New York Mets and a dozen Seattle Pilots. It’s a truly extraordinary chance to pick up the lion’s share of the final set of the 1960s decade.
