This is a grand assortment of football pins of all descriptions and dimensions from the last half-century and each and every one depicting the colors and sentiments of perhaps the most beloved collegiate football program in history, Notre Dame. The pins and in some instances the accompanying ribbons, pendants and jewelry, are in outstanding condition, with some exceptions noted in the listing below. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1 ¾-inch in diameter pin with 6-inch lightly faded ribbon and gold football pendant – Very Good, with some rust on the back of the pin; 2) 1 ¼-inch in diameter (three pins), with blue/gold 1 ¼-inch ribbons – Near-Mint; 3) 2 ¾-inch football-shaped green and gold “A New Ara” pin – Near-Mint; 4) 1 ¾-inch green/gold “Cotton Bowl” pin – Near-Mint; 5) 1 ¾-inch blue and white “ND” with some staining on the reverse – Ex-Mt; 6) 1 ½-inch red/white/blue Bit-O-Honey “Elmer Layden’s Safety Club” – Near-Mint; 7) 1 ¼-inch (two pins), black/gold “Miller ND” and green/gold “Noted Dame” – both Near-Mint; and 8) 3 ½-inch (two pins – yellow/blue “Beat Bama” – Ex-Mt-Plus and green/red/white “Beat USC” – Near-Mint.
