Babe Ruth - that name captivates audiences of not just baseball history, but history in general. The "Sultan of Swat" will always be in "Greatest Baseball Player of All Time" discussions. And with that, of course his memorabilia is highly desirable. This lot features a single signed Babe Ruth baseball on the sweet spot of an official Spalding Babe Ruth Special ball. The signature, which was signed with a steel-tip fountain pen, is slightly faded, but still quite visible on the red, white and blue baseball. This baseball has been authenticated by three companies. The ball is encased by BAS in a cube and certified as Authentic. The baseball also comes with full letters from JSA and PSA/DNA. PSA/DNA also assigned an overall grade of 6.5. The autograph itself was graded a 6 and the baseball was graded a 7.
