Offered is a game-worn Notre Dame jersey from the 1971 season and attributed to backup kicker Mike Eckman. The blue mesh shirt has single-ply shoulders, round-neck collar and Eckman’s No. 94 and all identifiers screened on. Notre Dame wore this fancy 1-inch braided stretch-knit with five-stripe, three-color sleeve cuffs. The shirt reveals shoulder dings and tears, along with a major repair to the back-left shoulder. The rare style jersey was likely used in practice and summer camps in the ensuing years to generate this level of wear.
