Presented is a fascinating circa 1960s and 1970s usher’s cap from Notre Dame Stadium, a canvas cloth in midnight navy, with brown leather headband and yellow-gold piping along the top. In a cap style that is reminiscent of band-major headgear, there is a 1 5/8-inch gold circular braid and knotted braid trim; a metal circular button is at the front, with “Notre Dame” and “586” in green and gold. It has a hard plastic brim and a clear plastic lining on the inner crown, along with dual side vent holes with eyelets.
