Presented is a simply remarkable near-set of the classic 1951 Bowman Baseball issue, missing only the two key Rookies of Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. The offered set is in a condition that is dramatically better than these coveted 2 1/16-by-3 1/8-inch cards are usually found in older collections. It is arguably one of the most important and coveted baseball issues of the postwar era, and one of the crowning achievements of the legendary Bowman Company, it’s biggest set ever at a record 324 cards. At 77 percent Ex-Mt to Near-Mint condition, the near-set is simply stunning, with only about 5 percent below Excellent.
